With the growing professionalism of the OD field, supervision is making an important contribution to many formal qualifications in organization consulting. As more consultants work independently or as ‘sole practitioners’ in many of their assignments, there is a growing need for time and space to reflect in a supervisory relationship. In this chapter we look at the various forms of consulting supervision, and reflect on the pros and cons of different approaches.
